Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 July 2026 · Applies to chanse.com.au and the Chanse app

These terms are an agreement between you and Chanse (Melbourne, Australia). By creating an account or using the platform you accept them. If you use Chanse for a business, you confirm you're authorised to accept for that business.

1. What Chanse is (and isn't)

Chanse is a career platform: AI-assisted resume building and review, AI interviews producing a Chanse Score, live job matching, direct messaging with voice/video calls and screen sharing, and tools for employers to post roles and find verified candidates. Chanse is a venue — we are not a recruitment agency, employer of record, or party to any engagement formed between users. Work terms, pay and outcomes are agreed directly between talent and employer.

2. AI features — what you're agreeing to

  • Scores, reviews, drafts and pay guidance are AI-assisted and indicative. They can be wrong. They must inform human judgment, not replace it.
  • Employers must not use a Chanse Score as the sole basis for an employment decision, and must comply with anti-discrimination law in all hiring.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit or send — including AI-polished content. Passing off fabricated experience is a breach of these terms.
  • Attempting to game interviews or scores (impersonation, reading generated answers, automated tools) may void scores and end accounts.

3. Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and your information accurate. One person per account. You must be at least 15 years old (and meet any higher age your local law sets for entering agreements like these).

4. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or harassing behaviour — in posts, messages or calls.
  • No scraping, reselling access, probing our security, or interfering with the service.
  • No fake roles, fee-charging "opportunities", or collecting user data for purposes outside a genuine engagement.
  • We may remove content or suspend accounts that put other users at risk, with notice where reasonable.

5. Pay guidance and payments

Rate ranges shown anywhere on Chanse are indicative market context, not quotes, offers or financial advice. Any payment currently exchanged between users happens outside Chanse or through clearly-labelled demonstration features; when in-platform payments launch, they'll run through a regulated payment processor under additional terms.

6. Your content and our platform

You own what you create — resumes, messages, posts, briefs. You grant us the licence needed to store, process and display it to operate the platform (including the AI processing described in our Privacy Policy). The platform itself — code, design, branding, the Chanse name and logo — is ours; don't copy or misuse it.

7. Availability and changes

Chanse is under active development. Features may change, be labelled as samples or demos, or be temporarily unavailable. We'll flag material changes, and material changes to these terms, inside the app.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or your local equivalent. Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows: the platform is provided as-is; we are not liable for decisions users make based on indicative AI outputs, for conduct of other users, or for indirect losses. Our total liability is capped at the greater of A$100 and the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Chanse and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for data deletion). We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms; where the breach is fixable we'll say what and why first.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes belong to the courts of Victoria — after we've both made a genuine attempt to sort it out by email first.
